Default Holiday Storage?

Has it really happened? Look at this quote from the wintersday article:
Quote:
Special Rewards: In the tradition of the season, you'll receive special headgear during the Wintersday finale. And even better, you'll get a new means of storing it, as well.
This may finally mean that a Hat storage or an all around Holiday Storage will finally be created! I personally can't wait since this will give me a chance to clear up a TON of space. Any thoughts on this?

Good job A-net!

I hope they'll let us store old hats/masks/antlers, as well as festival potions, cc's, candycane weapons and everything else you can get during festivals. That would really clear up my inventory and storage! Saves me the trouble of salvaging almost everything I find during quests/missions, due to a full inventory lol.

Yes, sounds like an armor storage. That would be great.

Armor storage sounds awesome!

I'm hoping each character gets their unique own storage (maybe a Inventory option and not the account based storage).

Can't wait!

Don't make assumptions and then you can't be disappointed.

That being said, I'm sure looking forward to seeing what it is. Rock on ANet!

I'm not holding out any hope that this will be any sort of significant storage upgrade. Just another gimmick, and that, sadly, doesn't excite me one bit.

Any means to save storage IS an upgrade. And people have been asking for this holiday item storage feature. So while YOU may not be excited by this "gimmick" many others are.

Well if it truely just is holiday item storage then that saddens me because I got rid of all my charcter's holiday hats for space.

I know what you mean. I have three mules filled up and another one almost full. Hopefully this storage is for both customized holiday items (the hats) and for the non customized holiday items (candy canes, witches brew, and other similar things). If it is both of those, then yay I will have at least one less mule after this event! If it is only one, then at least I have more space for some of my chars.

Either way, this new storage (and everything else about this event) seem awsome!

I hope this is character-based, not account based......which it should, since the holiday hats are personalized per char

Well, if they make the new storage able to store the non-customized holiday items then it wouldn't make much sence making it character based but if it is just the hats then, yes, character-based would be best. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I can see a hat storage being feasible. Really it'd just be a binary toggle.
Wintersday 1 slot dwayna - has the hat? 1
Wintersday 1 slot grenth - has the hat? 0
Halloween 2 pumpkin? 1
Halloween 2 warlock? 0

Heck it'd be simpler than the materials storage since it's only 1 or 0. I sure hope it is storage. Hell I sure hope it's ARMOUR storage. Then maybe I can justify going out and buying up every armour in the game. But I doubt it heh. Hat storage at the least would be just fine.
